What’s better than your favorite celebrity stepping out in a stunning red carpet look? Your favorite celebrity rocking stunning, perfectly styled outfits every time they’re photographed. When their style consistently aligns with their brand, when their outfits always pair perfectly with their hair and makeup, and when their looks are always accessorized just right.
It’s rare for anyone to completely nail every look they’re seen in, but one celebrity is doing it: Doechii.

She’s recently gained a lot of attention online for the beautiful Schiaparelli look she wore at Paris Fashion Week (see this TikTok from @badgalsav for valid criticism on this particular look blowing up), but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Each and every one of her looks is different, but still falls under the same aesthetic. She’s consistently styled immaculately from head to toe. Her brand is so clear, and reflected perfectly by what she wears. Doechii’s love for fashion is clear not just in how she’s styled, but the way she emphasizes the importance of her personal style in relation to her brand. She released a tour style guide on Instagram, highlighting some of her best looks and offering outfit inspo for fans to wear to her shows. She unabashedly leans into her niche style, whether that be wearing visible face tap to create her iconic snatched makeup looks, dressing in over-the-top androgynous silhouettes, or pairing immaculately done nails with each and every one of her looks. So let’s get into some of my favorite of Doechii’s outfits.
Doechii has created an aesthetic that strikes the perfect balance between preppy and completely cool, consistently calling back to the ‘90s influences in her music and fashion, and no look better exemplifies that aesthetic than her look on the 67th Grammy Awards Red Carpet.

In a look by Thom Browne, Doechii walked the carpet in a corseted pinstriped dress layered over a fitted button down and tie. The dramatic hip of the dress, flawlessly done hair, and subtly sultry makeup all give a sexy and cool edge to the buttoned-up look. Brown is known for “challenging and modernizing today’s uniform,” and I can’t imagine a better designer to align with Doechii’s current style. A traditional style that could be boring or unoriginal is made to feel totally unique and fresh through silhouettes, layering, and styling (shoutout to Doechii’s stylist, Sam Woolf). The long dress peeks a pair of platform loafers, leaning further into the office-wear prep vibe.

I’m not ready to move on from Grammys night yet—another look from the evening I can’t get over is the one she accepted the Grammy for Best Rap Album in. Another Thom Browne look (he styled all four of her looks from the evening), and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such an effortless outfit change in my life. This look is so similar to what she wore on the red carpet—same color palette, the tie and button down are still there, the corseted bodice remains, and even the striped details on the arms on there—but it still feels completely new and interesting. The way her looks play with silhouette are just so cool. The pants still engage with the same dramatic hip as the dress, but in a totally new way. I love that you can see the boning throughout the trousers, giving them their dramatic volume. The fitted nature of the short-sleeve jacket she’s wearing balances the silhouette so well. Her braids are styled in a way that feels reminiscent of vintage womenswear, and I love the way that contrasts the ultra-structured menswear vibe of her outfit.

With this look from the Chloé show in Paris, Doechii goes for a total shift from her structured Thom Browne looks.
I love this look in particular because it shows Doechii’s versatility, and her ability to shift her styling in accordance with the occasion—without losing her ability to still be styled to perfection. The dark burgundy makeup and rosy blush contrasts with her light brows to create an otherworldly effect. There isn’t a harsh line dividing her blush and eyeshadow. The way they’re blended into each other makes the makeup look as though it’s not even makeup at all, but rather something totally natural—and simultaneously unnatural in their bold colors. Her long braids align with bohemian vibe of her dress, and according to Vogue, her hair was purposely styled to look lived in and natural, in order to lean into that effortless and almost magical energy. The flowy, ruffled gown is paired with a fur piece in almost the exact same color, and gold jewelry with pops of beautiful pastel tones.

Another look from Paris Fashion Week that stands out is what she wore to the Acne Studios show—yet another prime example of Doechii’s ability to maintain an aesthetic while traversing different vibes and occasions.
The combination of the plaid and pigtail buns makes for a school girl-esque energy, while the mixing of patterns, detailed braids, and tiny glasses give a sort of futuristic look to the whole outfit. Her thin brows and pale green eyeshadow call back to the ‘90s, but her bold lashes keep the look in line with her typically sultry look. Though this dress is again a flowier style, the contrasting plaid fabrics around her waist mimic a corset in a way that calls back to her structured Thom Browne looks. I love this look because it’s a bold step out from previous outfits, but still feel true to Doechii’s typical style.

Lastly, I want to talk about a look Doechii wore that wasn’t for a red carpet or formal occasion—but rather a performance. For her NPR Tiny Desk Concert, she stepped out dressed in a Willy Chavarria outfit.
The ultra-oversized look is balanced with a belted waist, and she’s dressed head to toe in neutral tones. The masculine fit of the outfit pairs with long nails and smoky makeup to bring forward Doechii’s classic femininity—she consistently balances the two energies so well, and that’s such a big part of what makes her outfits so impactful. I think what makes this look in particular so special is that everything is over the top—the oversized outfit, the visible face tape, the ultra long nails. And the over the top-ness is balanced by the simple colors, the classic square toe shoes, and her simple braids. Everything about the look feels totally deliberate, but looks so effortless.
Sam Woolf says of Doechii’s style that all of her outfits are about storytelling. With every outfit, she and Woolf examine what the looks is communicating to the world and what image they’re curating. Doechii is an example of a celebrity that completely understands how to make fashion work for her, and we see that in how her looks have become an extension of her brand. She and her stylist pay attention to each and every detail of the looks they’re putting together, and the result is one of the most immaculately styled celebrities we’ve seen in a very long time.
