I talk a lot about sustainable shopping and building a wardrobe in a productive way, so that your closet is full of pieces you’ll actually love to wear. But just because we’re being thoughtful about our purchases doesn’t mean we won’t be shopping, and right here is one of the most important parts of the thoughtful-shopping process: the wishlist. Saving pieces that you love so that you can think about whether or not you really want them, if they fit with your wardrobe, if you’ll really truly get use of them—and deciding which of them you really want to pull the trigger on and buy. So here’s what I have on my current wishlist.
FW04 Falliano “I Love Dior” Leopard Heels

These leopard print Dior heels from Wish You Love Vintage are just the right amount of fun, while still leaning a bit practical.
The silhouette is classic and versatile, and the heel height is super wearable. It might be an unpopular opinion, but animal prints and red both fall into the “neutrals” category for me right now, and I feel like these could be styled with so many of the outfits I regularly wear. I don’t normally love brand names on a piece of clothing, but something about the little silver heart decals on these is just so cute, it makes it work. The touches of red are subtle and cool, and tie the whole shoe together.
I’ve been completely obsessed with vintage shoes lately, but these have to be my favorite pair at the moment.
Siam Twist Mini Dress in Black by Tank Air
I love Tank Air’s creative take on wardrobe staples, and this dress keeps catching my eye.

Winter isn’t enough to stop me from going for a short skirt, but I do love a long sleeve to balance things out. The way this dress plays with proportions and creates such an effortless silhouette takes it beyond the classic LBD. It’s simple, but doesn’t need heavy styling to create a fun and interesting outfit.
It’s fabricated from Tank Air’s signature modal jersey fabric, so it’s extra comfortable and super soft, without looking too slouchy, which is something I love. This piece would fit seamlessly in my wardrobe, but it’s also different from anything I already own, making the perfect addition to my wardrobe.
Melania Micro Short by superdown

Leather shorts are an essential to me, and I do already own a pair—whose clasp has fallen off. Which just goes to show that I’ve worn them into the absolute ground. So naturally, I’ve been hunting for a replacement. Although I loved the pair I had, they were a higher-rise than I would’ve liked, and fit a bit loose. So for my new pair, I’m looking for a slightly more snug fit with a mid-rise. These shorts from superdown hit that balance perfectly, and I love the oversized belt buckle detail.
Wool Blend Stitched Top Coat by Anthropologie
I am obsessed with fitted silhouettes right now, especially when it comes to pieces that are normally oversized like coats and knits.

That’s what initially caught my eye with this coat—the snug fit of the waist, in combination with the structured fit of the shoulders. The cinched waist just looks so chic, and makes an outfit look so put together—which is something I feel like bulky winter coats tend to do the opposite of. The light stitching and buttons create a beautiful contrast with the dark fabric of the coat, and the piece is lightweight enough that it can transition well through spring. Having a few coats you love to choose from when putting together a look makes winter fashion feel remarkably less dire, and this is one piece I’d love to add to my collection.
Valeria Mesh Capri Pants by Guizio

Putting this together, I’ve noticed a pretty clear color palette. I always say I want to branch out and add more color into my wardrobe, but especially in the winter, I tend to gravitate towards neutrals—and in this case, black. As much as I want to go for more color, I think that sometimes, it’s smarter to just stick to the styles that are really calling to you. And what’s calling to me is a cool pair of capris, specifically this mesh pair from Guizio, complete with cute little bow details. I’ve been hunting for a pair of capris for a while now, and have struggled to find one I really loved the fit of. But the rise on these looks just right, as does the length. The bow details are the perfect flirty touch, and I’ll most definitely be renting these on Nuuly to double check that this is exactly the fit I’m looking for before I make the purchase. And remember, neutrals are only boring if you don’t know how to style them.
Charm Watch Bracelet by FaithsWatches

I’ve never really been a watch girl—I like how they look on other people, but they’ve always just felt kind of boring to me.
Unnecessary bulk that didn’t really align with the accessories I’d normally go for. But lately, I’ve been searching for a watch that does work with my style, and I think I’ve found it. A combination charm bracelet/watch is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It’s practical but still has that bit of personal style and flair that I’ve been wanting.
These are the pieces I’ve found that I know I love, but there are a few more that I’m still looking for (If anyone’s found a butter-yellow knit maxi dress—high neck and sleeveless—please let me know), but the point of the wishlist is to make sure that when you make a purchase, it’s really truly what you want. My wishlist is forever evolving, but this is what I’m completely loving right now.
